Memory loss and lack of focus?
Just recently I have noticed a huge lack of information retention (work, home and socially) and looking back on things, I was fine up until a couple of years ago when in work, my workload started to reduce exponentially.
To counteract this, I tried increasing my social and activites (I dance) to try to improve my focus, but that is now being affected. I used to be able to remember routines photographically... now I find it's much harder work.
Is there anything else I can do to help reverse my reducing ability in short, long and continuous memory retention?
I'm 27.
I already do crosswords, sudoku and read a lot but it doesn't seem to be helping. I suddenly go off into a daze and anything during that time totally disappears. And I eat more fish now than I was a few years ago when this wasn't so much a problem.
I know most of it is probably frustration but being something I'm not used to, I want to get back to the way I was, or at least where it's not quite so bad.

You don't say how old you are but some memory decline in later years seems to be inevitable.
Memory problems can be caused by depression, if this could be you then talk to your gp.
Lack of sleep definitely causes memory problems and this is quality as well as quantity.
If there is any particular thing(s) causing you stress then try to deal with them because your brain has to work to put them to one side and deal with the item before you, this also means that remembering is harder.
Good luck

How old are you?
Go to your GP if it is too worrying. But also make sure that you train your brain by doing crosswords and things like that. Also try Omega 3 & 6 fish oil capsules. The ones from eye q seem to be very good, you can read read reviews on the internet.

Ehm..
A very good, eye-opening site about this problem is: http://memoryloss.toptips.org/
Memory loss may be due to many conditions such as small strokes in the brain, diabetes, high blood pressure, nutritional deficiencies, reactions to medications and alcoholism. The symtoms of more severe forms of Dementia / Alzheimer are mainly: poor judgement, poor decision making, masplacing things, difficulty having a conversation, losing track of dates, etc. If you notice any of these signs visit your doctor.
Cheers.

You can decide to remove them with a little procedure (done by dermatologists using a CO2 laser to vaporise the spots) but it's not obligatory. You say you are 27 so it is not age degeneration.
You could be tired or tiring yourself too much trying to keep your brain active.
Do you have any worries. That could affect concentration and memory.
Are you stressed. Trying too hard.
Ask yourself these questions.
I would advise you see your doctor and talk about it to him. He is the person who can advise you. It could be something simple you know so try not to worry too much.
