Taxes Foreign Income Exclusion - Physical presence test proof?

Will I need to prove I was out of the country for 330 days or do they just take your word on it? And how would it be proven if they ask?

    You need proof.

    Airline tickets, passport stamps, work contracts, lease agreements/hotel bills.

    IRS will take your word for it. But be careful, there could be an audit later.

    you have forgotten the time adjustments. you have 31 hours in transit (assuming an extraordinarily final holiday spot in Mexico city that's standard Time) so which you have lost an afternoon in a much off places united states of america.
