Well neck pain can be caused by a lot of things.
They way you sleep, your bed mattress is it to firm or to soft, if you work and you left weights the wrong way and your over all posture.
For your neck pain I would recommend a natural remedy like Palates and Yoga. If that dose not work try seeing a Chiropractor.
As fair as your Pain Swallowing I'm not sure you might want to see an Allergy specialist.

you probably pulled a nerve. my cousin had the same problems when she did. just get some rest, and take it easy. its going to hurt for a couple of days or weeks depending on how bad it is. if it worsens then go see a doctor. its nothing to be worried about. good luck .
