    (k+2)² - 4(1)(4) = 0

    k² + 4k + 4 - 16 = 0

    k² + 4k - 12 = 0

    (k + 6)(k - 2) = 0

    k = -6, 2

    When k = -6, 2 the polynomial will have 2 equal roots (2 in the first case, -2 in the second)

    1. b - 4ac

    a = 1

    b = 2

    c = 4

    2- 4(1x2)

    2-8

    -6
