Piano Arpeggiating Help (LH)?
Can anyone help me on arpeggiating? I know how to do it (1,3,5,tonic) but I'm wondering what would be the fingering? the arpeggios im talking about are in Dearly Beloved : Concert paraphrase. Also, how would you go back down. Would you pass your thumb under your middle finger? It seems way too slow.

As pianists we cheerfully pass our thumb under 5th fingers as a matter of course, at speed, but there's the rub, we are only able to do that after a steady progress of training and consistent practice.
If you could sketch your playing history and your teacher's views on your problems in a supplementary, it would probably be easier for us to pitch in with clarifications of what is puzzling you about what your teacher has been telling you, or what you find hard to do on your own in practice. (I'll edit this in response as you post a bit more.)
All the best,
