(Yu-Gi-Oh) Can my opponent use 2 cards against 1 attack?

Earlier, I declared a direct attack on my opponent, they activated Mirror Force, and to that I chained Trap Stun. They chained Dimensional Prison to my Trap Stun. Can they chain Dimensional Prison to Trap Stun, seeing as Dimensional Prison specifically says it can only be activated when an attack is declared.

Here's another example. I attack, my opponent activates Sakuretsu Armor, I change Seven Tools of the Bandit, my opponent chains Negate Attack. Is this allowed?

Please only answer if you actually know what you're talking about. I see all sorts of "I think *ridiculously wrong answer*"

This is getting pretty technical with the rules, but what I think would happen for example 1 is:

    1. You declare an attack

    2. Your opponent activates Mirror Force

    3. You negate it with Trap Stun

    4. Your opponent cannot activate Dimensional Prison to the activation of Trap Stun since Dimensional Prison can only be activated when the monster's attack is declared (The timing window to meet the trap's condition is missed)

For example 2, what I think would happen is:

    1. You declare an attack

    2. Your opponent activates Sakuretsu Armor

    3. You pay 1000 life points to negate it with Seven Tools of the Bandit

    4. Negate Attack cannot be activated for the same reason as the previous example (missed the timing)

However, this is an example of something your opponent CAN do with two traps:

    1. You declare an attack

    2. Your opponent activates Mirror Force

    3. You negate it with Trap Jammer

    4. Your opponent activates Compulsory Evacuation Device and targets the attacking monster

Since there is no condition required on Compulsory Evacuation Device, your attack does not go through and your monster is sent back to your hand unless you can negate it.

    Hope that helped ^^

You can chain cards that say "when a monster attacks" as long as the monster is still attacking. You can chain Widespread Ruin to Sakuretsu armor and vice-versa but only if you're still in the declaration of the attack and NOT the damage.

no. their responding to an activation of a trap, not to an attack.
