Which one to buy, Nook or Kindle?
I'm trying to decide which one to buy, Amazon's Kindle or Barnes & Noble's Nook. Anyone have any suggestions or insight? Anyone own either and want to give a review? Thank you!

That's a pretty hard question, since nobody can really judge the Nook fairly since it's out of stock right now.I got the Kindle a few days ago, since I don't have the patience to wait until next year to get a Nook ;D Since they're still improving the Kindle, the experimental features like surfing the internet (Can't with Nook) is not exactly amazing. The e-readers can both listen to music, but the Kindle have the Text to Speech feature which enables you to listen to the book when you get sick of reading it and the Nook doesn't XD. And just to let you know, the color touch screen for the Nook is only like a small part at the bottom of the e-reader and you can try it out at the Barnes & Noble stores.
I hope you'll like the one you choose ^^!

The Nook Touch and Kindle are excellent ereaders. They both have E Ink Pearl displays, so they're both great for long-run reading. (Neither is great for web browsing or apps, however -- buy an LCD-based reader if those features are more important to you than text display quality.) Kindle advantages: keyboard, 3G model available, 4G internal memory, Text-To-Speech, MP3 support. Nook Touch advantages: touch screen, less page-turn flashing, EPUB support, SD memory expansion port, library borrowing now (vs later this year for Kindle). Other consideration: Do you like buying online from Amazon or B&N better?

I would buy the KIndle. I dont know about Nook, haven't heard of it. Kindle seems to be the best and have the best screen display although it could be improved a bit and the buttions are in a strange place. I would wait a few years for when they come out with a better model. They need to improve the interface and the screen resolution.

There are many technical reviews out on the Nook and many of them are very, very bad. The Nook seems to have a cute little color screen at the bottom that makes it look nicer, but the software seems to be very, very lacking. I wouldn't recommend getting on until they figure it out a bit better for themselves. They're also having problems with the devices not registering, books coming up blank, missing pages, etc. I've had my kindle for 9 months now and haven't had any problems with it whatsoever. I'd recommend it to anyone who was interested in an e-reader. Its been a great device, and Amazon has the best selection and best value for books.

I say the Amazon Kindle. There are some very good reviews on the Nook and comparison with the Kindle 2 here, guess you'll be interested:

I've mentioned pretty much between the two here:

So my vote goes to the Kindle.
The refurbished version is cheaper, but it only has free wireless within U.S., while the new Kindle has free international wireless. And you know, Amazon gave a price drop for the Kindle 2 just before Xmas. It is now at a really good price.
Hope this helps.
