Why are Asian American guys so convinced that they aren't the HOTTEST? Just because of the Western media?

I find some Asian American guys really attractive, despite what the media says. I feel bad for people who rely on the media to have them feed them how life should be which is lame, instead of believing or creating their own lives. Basically they are living an imitated life instead of having self-determination, people who can't trust their own instincts, but the media.

My BF is Asian and he is really attractive, and possess great personality. He is my best BF in the world.

That's too broad of a question. When you ask about American girls, do you mean American girls of a particular race. But in general, I can tell you, that the girls I know are more attractive to Asian American men.

I think sometimes superficial people bring down other's self-confidence.

Anyhow, I'm Indian and I love me an Asian man (and yes I AM aware India is in Asia haha). I would love to have a nice Asian man in my life. :)

Because too many Asian women keep us exclusively bond to them by tapping our self confidence with their wicked tongues and racist behavior.

It's only when you Asian girls decide to put your foot down and give Asian guys a chance. But, no, every single one of you has to be around a White man or even Black who like to use you for sex only.

idk, many asians are collectivists and judge themselves based on their culture as a whole. Instead of separating themselves from the stereotypes, they beleive them. Also, other races in America, especially black people have a lot more experience with dealing with and overcoming racism,prejudice and stereotypes. Asians being new to this country sometimes only 2nd to 3rd generation haven't developed the thick skin.

I wouldn't say that for all Asian Americans. I'm pretty comfortable with myself. Anyone can be who they want if they have the will, the passion, and the confidence to carry it through.

its probably because a lot of caucasian girls arent attracted to asian men. this too could be influenced by the media. but you are right..i find it hard myself to call an asian "hott" and im half asian myself.
