The US centre for world mission puts Islam's growth rate at 2.9%, that means the percentage of the global population that is Muslim is growing at a rate of 0.6% per year.

The main reason for this growth is a very high third world birth rate, where most Muslims live.

Because in some Muslim countries you can be prosecuted for not following Islam. It's in those countries where the most growth occurs. Add to this there is few forms of recreation to engage in and condoms are a no-no, so large families are the norm. That's why Islam is growing. It's not the fastest growing religion in the world, but it is growing.

Because there are too many weak Christians who have not done their job of praying for everyone all over the world and responding by giving generously to the ministries God has raised up for such a time as this. Too many half-hearted Christians who are also self-centered and stingy.

Aside from that---we can easily see, if you have the facts on hand, that people have been giving in to the Muslims out of fear. They have been intimidated and just didn't see any way to overcome. Of course, we can overcome when there are enough prayer warriors doing their jobs.

People have to cooperate with what God is doing. The blind have been leading the blind all too often. The ignorant need to repent and surrender to the truth.

Actually Buddhism is growing at the fastest rate. There are a fewer number of Buddhists on this planet than other "religions" (Buddhism is a philosophy of life, not a religion) and they have fewer children. But, they have the highest rate of conversions per Buddhist. In terms of absolute numbers, they are relatively few. In terms of rate of growth, Buddhism has the highest rate in USA and the world.

I agree with many. Islam's alleged growth is due to high-birth rates. According to research Pakistani-born American Muslim Dr. Ilyas Ba-Yunus a huge 75% of new Muslim converts in the USA alone, leave Islam within a few years. New converts to Islam is very low compared to the birth rates amongst Muslim asian/indians.
