What is an exponential graph?

All i need is a basic description of what an exponential graph might look like and what it could mean.

    An exponential graph is based on base e (2.71828...) of the natural logarithmic scale. So a graph that corresponds to an exponential function would look like e^-x or (1- e^-x) depending on whether you have an exponential decay or increase.

    If you want to see ax example look up the charging or discharging of a capacitor as a function of time

    when the number is the base and the x is the exponent. i.e. 2^x

    it looks like a curve that keeps getting steeper. similar to a parabola but smaller in the long term.
