MtG - Path to Exile and Protection?
Let's say I have a creature out, and my opponent casts Path to Exile [Exile target creature, its controller can get a Basic Land and put it into play tapped] on it.
I respond by playing Journey to Nowhere [Creatures you control gain protection from the color of your choice until end of turn].
Do I still get the Basic Land, or no?

No - because the exile never resolved. It goes like this: Your opponent casts Path to Exile, targeting creature X. In response, you cast JtN, giving that creature protection from white. JtN resolves, then PtE tries to resolve, but it fizzles, so you get no land. On gatherer, there was a ruling on 2/1/2009:
If the targeted creature becomes an illegal target by the time Path to Exile would resolve, the entire spell is countered. The creature's controller won't get to search for a basic land card.

Sorry, you can't keep your creature and get a land. The Path to exile will fizzle, you keep your creature, you do NOT go search for a basic land.
Sorry

It can't be targeted by spells that involve any sort of colors, this includes hybrids, even the colorless hybrids. It can be blocked as normal, wrath of god effects still kill it because they don't target it, activated abilities still work on it so Jace Mindsculptor can Unsummon it and Sarkhan Vol can still threaten it. And I don't know what that other person is talking about with the stack, Emrakul is cast at sorcery speed, there's nothing complicated about it, and I hope that nobody ever plays Emrakul in response to any spell I ever play.
