can your drivers license be suspended in one state if you owe child support in california?

Update:

Maybe i should clearify for my understanding. A person has a valid license in lets say, Oregon but has a child support obligation in california. Can California suspend the Oregon license?

Update 2:

P.S. why does everyone always automatically assume the person is a dead beat?

Update 3:

Please quote sources and proof

Yes, it is punishment for not paying.

It does not matter if it is not the same state...it takes a little longer to catch up with you but it does happen eventually.

Edit: I understood the question. My answer still applies.

Suspended license is a suspended license.. all different states will honour different states judgements... You arent possibly gonna get a license in any state till that suspension is long previous.. CA isnt gonna grant you with a license with a suspension on your checklist.. you kidding me.. this state has somewhat made it tougher to get a license in modern times... you need to have paid the tickets.. they have been the two fantastically minor infractions... And seeing who you artwork for you need to have primary extra effectual (i'm suprised they havent fired you yet to tell the reality)

thankfully yes it can, heres a wild thought, what about you pay what you owe???

EDIT : yes I also understood the question, once the licence expires then NO state will give him a renewal as ALL states adhere to the non paying dead beat issue, regardless of the reasons you do not pay the end result is that you have NOT paid...........

Yes. Other states do not like dead beat fathers who are scumbags get away with it.

    In "one" State? No.

It will be suspended in ALL States. Once any State suspends your driving privileges, that suspension applies nationwide.
