no sound on windows 7?
ok this is odd for me. on the computer every user can hear sound except for one user. their default sound device is the same as evey one else and its not on mute. what is causing this to happen?

That is strange....
I have heard of some sound devices (namely the ones who add their own volume control software and crap like that) are subjected to program-permission issues.... you may want to try checking that out.
Otherwise the only thing I can think of is the cliched "reload the driver" which you've probably already tried.
