Why do guys forget so much?

honestly, its probably because we dont hold these occassions as very important in our minds. Its more of a man thing, possibly hormonal, that causes this. Not our insensitivity like most women would say. If they are intelligent, they mark that on their calendar cause they dont want the lack of sex that inevitably follows forgetting the anniversary!

You think the guy forgets, but he doesn't always. (that's the short answer.) Guys don't usually show their emotions & feel they have to show their buddies they moved on. When I was in H.S. my boyfriend broke up with me. It was 7 years later over a beer that I found out the true story. His friends were complaining that he wasn't spending enough time with them and we were young, so he listened to them. He always thought I was furious at him, when I was in love with him. For the next 3 years of high school, we talked but never knew that we both had feelings for each other because we were too foolish and proud. I beat myself up for 3 1/2 years over him & found out much later that I should have just talked to him. People just have a different way of reacting.

lol hey some of the guys are right not all of them do its just some of them. sometimes it can be because they dont find every-month-anniversaries very important or some might just not take into account the day they ask you out or watever it can be alot of reasons dont be too hard on them :)

i know personally my boyfriend never forgets stuff i say i find it amazing :D

Most guys I know are considerate, and remember important occasions. It's just a few well-meaning but forgetful few who give the rest of us us a bad name.

Because women prefer to date jerks, losers, and douche bags that forget their birthdays, they think all men can't remember anything.

It has to do with the quality of man that the girls are dating, not men in general.

thats a falacy, its wrong, women tend to want to celebrate a 2 week anniversary, which is random at best.

and its sexist, women can just as easily forget things as well.

i forget EVERYTHING lol. You could tell something, 5 seconds later ill be like, wait, what we talkin bout? XD
