Random Scents????????
In the past few months, I have started to smell things that aren't there, usually when I have a strong emotion. For example, when I get upset, I smell this woodsy, piney, slightly minty scent. Happiness or conten is a sweet soapy sscent. Get it? I don't know why. It's not bad. It's quite comforting, in fact. I just a, wondering why. Could this be a form of synesthesia? I have a couple forms of is (spacial and number form) and is this emotion-smell related?

Emotions are connected to smell. I can't say for your case, but in children all emotions or memories are associated with a smell. I'm sure your case is similar some how. For instance, grandma's house. Grandma bakes apple pies, so whenever you smell apple pies you immediately think of grandma's house and vice versa. I hope this is somewhat helpful.
