My jaw keeps popping OUT?!?!?
Well okay I dont know if this is entirely possibly or not, but for a couple of weeks at least twice a day, my jaw does this...thing. I'll be laughing, yawning, and sometimes just talking, and all of a sudden a sharp pain goes through my jaw(usually only the left side) and my whole jaw kind of repositions itself way to the right, like it...pops out or something. I reflexively grab my jaw and then like one second later it goes back into place and feels normal, with a little bit of pain for a couple of seconds. I thought it was TMD at first, but i looked it up and apparently signs of it are like a popping or clicking sound, and I dont hear that when this happens. My aunts a dentist so I guess I could ask her, but I want to know if anyone has any ideas about what it might be first. thanks

It's probably muscle spasms or something like that. I don't think it's actually falling out of place.

That's interesting to say the least, I suppose it could well be a very, very loose joint, which is rather unlikely but can happen, sometimes depending on your diet. Without a cracking sound or something similar it is relatively hard to determine the cause or the actual problem. And, also as far as I know, it is almost physically impossible to disjoint your jaw with only your facial muscles.
So, should you hear a cracking sound, there obviously is a problem with your joint, if not I am quite out of ideas concerning your problem, but consulting any professional is always a good choice.

I too have that problem. My jaw pops every time I open my mouth and sometimes it even gets stuck. My orthodontist told me that I just have not very strong joints and muscles in my jaw and that it is just something people are born with. You may have that, but I would advise you to get it checked out because every person has a different situation.

I have the same thing!
Go to the dentist and he/she will take a mold of your teeth, you will then be fitted with a guard to hold it, it is pretty uncomfortable at first but you get used to it.
Hope all goes well

Is the Jolly Rancher me? Oh wait, now I see. Your boyfriend was sucking on the Jolly Rancher too. On second thought, I don't want to be him. Yee-Hah! The Marlboro Man

It definitely sounds like TMD. Please go to a doctor. Over time, your jaw could sustain permanent damage.
