Paranormal Phenomenon Help?
My girlfriend has been telling me shes been seeing shadows and hearing certain names of my own family and her other friends family. Shechas had an encounter with a small presence a few years ago that she believes is her unborn brother or unborn sister that her mother never had before she was born. I have no idea what to do she is having major stomach pains everynight and I swear that I could see a shadow or to when I was on webcam with her last night. I know this seems unlogical and BS but I normally have nothing to say about the paranormal and I just want a link or advice on what we might have here

She needs to be mentally evaluated by a psychologist. She is probably suffering from schizophrenia. You might have "seen" some of the shadows she claims to see because you subconsciously want her to be right and want something to be there.

First things first. Your girlfriend's physical symptoms (stomach pains) might be either caused by the stress of her current beliefs or they might have an origin totally unrelated to the paranormal phenomenon that she is experiencing. If pain continues, see a doctor!
Having said that, shadows, spirits, or whatever seems to increase around the holidays here at my residence as well. Acknowledge the presence of these things without fear. Say aloud, "I know you are here. Peace be with you." Observe and, if interested, document and record.
Most important, reduce all emotional reactions to these events as much as possible. Negative entities seem to feed on fear and chaos. It might sound funny, but tidy up any "untidy" areas in bedrooms, etc.
Making light of paranormal activity does nothing to help those victims of its effects.
Hope this helps, my friend.

I don't think your girlfriend necessarily has any neurological disorders, though it may be a possibility. What you're describing can certainly be a result of pre-existing belief, fear/anxiety and power of suggestion. It's easy to see shadows in dimly light rooms, and it's actually very common to see "shadow people" out of the corner of our eyes (actually due to a visual illusion involving rod receptors in the peripheral vision). In the same way, auditory illusions can be brought about by the same factors, especially if there is any white noise in the environment. White noise helps to create the little sound bits that the brain pieces together to form the words it thinks it is hearing (auditory pareidolia).
Concerning stomach pains, she really should see her physician about that.

If she is having major stomach pains every night she should get some medical advice. And while she is there she could mention to the doctor that she is seeing and hearing things that are not there.

Ask your girlfriend what the names were and check them out. The spirit maybe is trying to warn you that something bad will happen to them. Also the 'baby' is probably warning her too. If she is having major stomach pains every night I suggest going to the Doctor because it may have something to do with the unborn child.

What she is experiencing (and you too) is called Confirmation Bias. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Confirmation_bias
You are "seeing" something that you are expecting to see. Or else you are seeing something that is being misinterpreted. There are no logically acceptable reasons to jump to a supernatural explanation, as that would require the entire body of physics and chemistry acquired by human beings over the last 500 years to be thrown out the window.

If she goes to a psychiatrist be sure to find one that believes that paranormal things happen...otherwise they will put her on meds that will make her crazy.
Read the Q&As in Resolve Questions on here. You might find some answers there.
As for confirmation bias... (google it)... I doubt she went around looking for shadows and trying to hear voices.
