Party Caterer- Help what to charge?
I am catering a Christmas party
Not sure what to charge--- I have only done this a couple of times before
35 people, 8 appetizers, drop off-- (no waitstaff)
Groceries came to about $170- but, of course need to factor in my time and prep work
What is reasonable. (This is not for a friend or anything like that)

Usually you discuss this before you buy the groceries. I would suggest charging $8 per person PLUS $9.00 - $11.00 an hour for the amount of time it took you to prep (that includes shopping, cooking, and drop off). If the appetizers were higher end like shrimp or baked quiches go with the $11 per person, if they were lower end, go with $9 per person.

I live in the UK, but I own a catering company and I usually charge £7 per person. Also, depends what the appetizers are, but I charge usually £13 per appetizer. Also, it depends how long the party is. I charge around, £8 per hour.
Hope I helped,
