The red velvet I made not too long ago came out dense (which I know is wrong). I am not too sure about the white cake. It seemed alright, but I worry I didn't get the right combination of lightness and density. I am going to make a Devil's food cake this week and I am unsure what the texture and taste should be (I know the taste is chocolaty...but is it a complex or rich?).
