How do i save files in Capture NX 2 if i want to edit them later?

Capture NX will allow you to save files as NEF which is Nikons RAW format, as JPEG or as TIFF but it saves it to the location you specify. The control point editing is non destructive in NEF so you can go back and re edit from the beginning it but when you change it to TIFF or JPEG you have the changes incorporated into the save just like flattening the image and saving in JPEG in photoshop looses the layers
