How do I make friends with girls my age?

I am just about 19, and in college, and I would adore to make some new friends there, preferably girls, but I just do not know how. I feel most are so judgmental, and the girlfriends I've had in the past have been quite crude to me out of jealousy, when I was only kind to them. When I make male friends, they all end up with crushes on me, realize they can't have me, because I have a boyfriend, or the feelings aren't mutual, and never want to talk to me again. Or, they will keep talking to me, and hit on me constantly. I have thee worst luck with building friendships, please help.

Try meeting somebody first that you can relate to. Maybe have a common interest with? Somebody that you find interesting and genuine, somebody who wouldn't betray you again. Just getting to know the girls you already know might help you realize that they're nicer than how they come off.

Or make casual conversation with someone in one of your classes. Even just turning to the person who sits beside you and introducing yourself is a good idea; it makes you appear friendly and outgoing. Then, once you make a bit of casual conversation, maybe ask for their number so that you can talk outside of class. Once that is done, you could text them a little bit, then suggest that the two of you hang out sometime.

Ahaha! Looks like we have the same problem. I did, until I said "enough with this, i'm gonna try homeschooling."

What I suggest is to find a shy quiet girl. The kind that no one talks to. I had a few of them as friends. They're sweethearts. Never had one backstab me or anything. Plus it gives them a friend as well.
