they give the credit to god...

kinda takes away the beauty of a fossil doesn't it

edit: wow my bad. Didn't notice that you were talking about genes rather then condensed minerals.

Ya pseudo genes are great for the theory of evolution. Read the book "Your inner fish" if you want a lot more great info on them. I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say creationists give the credit to 'God's plan' or That god forced evolution.

The god forcing evolution thing is a little contradictory though since most creationists believe there is no evolution of one species to another. So a wolf becomes a pug, but the wolf was created from scratch. These pseudo genes come from cross evolution and offer proof beyond reasonable doubt that evolution has occurred. We have genes coding for a fully functional tail (which are very slightly degraded since errors here are not naturally selected out since it is not expressed) but the genes are never expressed because a different set of genes that we have (but our our chimp-like ancestors didn't have) shuts them off. Creationists, i don't really expect you to understand, just thumbs down me

I can't think of a reason why I'd need to explain them, but if I did, I'd go with what the evidence says about them and demonstrate how that evidence is in no way inconsistent with the biblical creation account.

You are aware that the Genesis account clearly states that God formed all of the life forms on this planet using the same "raw materials" aren't you? As such, the existence of genetic information in humans (or other species) that is consistent with the genetic information of other species (living or extinct) provides as much support for the biblical claim as it does for a "naturally evolved" claim.

Like with time? How creationists claim that the earth is only however many thousands of years old, while science says it's many millions of years older then that?

Who knows. My opinion, when the bible refers to time, it isn't speaking of "earth" time. Where it says god created the earth in seven "days", what makes us assume that a "day" in heaven is 24 hours? A heavenly "day" could translate into millions of earth "days"

I believe in Genesis and I'm proud of it. At least there isn't a thesis statement that tend to change. Did you know that there is no truth in evolution/science? this is according to my biology textbook. Truth means unchangeable. Thesis change and therefore aren't true.

    The Bible = says we were created in God's image & given authority to rule over other creation;

Evolution= says we share a common ancestry with monkeys & it cannot even explain the purpose of life on this earth... how ridiculous is that??

Strange, I think the animals fossilized were real and alive at some point.

I just don't think it took Billions of years.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but my understanding is that so called 'junk DNA' is merely a provisional label for portions of the DNA sequence for which no function HAS YET been identified.

I fail to see how that is a problem for believers in Creation.

i don't know anything about them, but i can tell you there isn't a person on earth who can explain 100% of anything. God is able to instill mystery just as He is able to declare that which is obvious. the problem is the mind of man.

All genes are created. Therefore, brought into existence by God.

Evolution, if it occured, was part of God's creative work.

    Simple.

And I bet you thought you had us stupid, ignorant "creationists" stumped. What a softball.
