What antivirus software are you using?
You may need to uninstall your current antivirus, and reinstall it again.
If the antivirus still refuses to work, give Microsoft Security Essentials a try:

If possible try to update your antivirus otherwise you have to download other virus protection like Macrovirus-oncall.Because the symptoms are virus infection on your laptop. so you can provide the protection that should be effective for your laptop.
