I'm sick, what do I have?

It really does sound like a cold; I would bet on that or a cold-like flu.

The other thing it could be (depending on how sore your throat is) is strep throat... same symptoms. To tell if it's strep you could get a throat swab at the doctor's or if you see any white stripes or splotches at the back of your throat, that's probably what it is. You didn't mention coughing, but if that starts, you may also have bronchitis.

Other than going to the doctor, just drink lots of fluids (water, juice, popsicles and gatorade-the electrolytes in it will help keep you hydrated). Also you can take vitamin C, take hot showers or baths (to help sweat it out of your system and clear up congestion), and use Zicam nasal swabs-it really helps beat back a cold.

I wouldn't use any cold medicine. I really believe it can be bad for you and doesn't usually help anyway (plus the fact that you don't even know if it's a "cold" for sure). You can take some ibuprofen or tylenol for the headache and use Vicks for the congestion.

Based off the symptoms, it sounds like a cold.

I had something like that.... i could not take anything b/c im pregnant... i slept for 5 days... I would only get up to go to the bathroom and eat... and go right back to be... i had NO ENERGY AT ALL!!
