In Holidays, there is 3 Jewish holidays, 2 Christian holidays, and 1 Muslim holiday?

In this Holidays category

3 Jewish-Passover, Hannukah, Yom Kippur

2 Christian-Christmas, Easter

1 Muslim-Ramadan

The population of the world in religion

2 billion Christian

1.5 billion Muslim

15 million Jew

Does this seem weird to anyone else?

Update:

I understand-Ramadan is not even a holiday.. Eid is.. Its like putting Lent but not Easter...

hey we also have 2 Eids...

    Eid Al-Fitr (after Ramadan)

    Eid Al-Adha (after Hajj)

    =)

Source(s): thank you for your help with other questions
  • Why don't all you muslims unite and ask for your 2 Eids to be listed in the holiday section and explain that Ramadan isn't a holiday. Maybe then they'll get rid of this section and give you two in place of it.

    TWO IMPORTANT JEWISH HOLIDAYS

PASSOVER AND YON KIPPUR TWO HOLY DAYS ARE OF UPMOST IMPORTANCE IN JUDAISM

HANNUKAH WAS NEVER AN IMPORTANT HOLIDAY IN JUDAISM.

Read About Hannukah. NEVER A SIGNIFICANT OR IMPORTANT JEWISH HOLIDAY..

You see, Hanukkah is not the Jewish Christmas. It's also not a major holiday built on a narrow focus on, oh, civil rights and religious liberty. Whenever I have talked to traditional Jewish leaders, they have explained that the message of this minor,.. [view original]

One of the unique or unusual characteristics of Jewish Holidays are the multiple ways they can be spelled. Many can be legitimately spelled in different ways, thus making it sometimes difficult to search for – Hanukkah is one of those ... [view original]

So with a reaction like that, you know I HAD to come up with MORE reasons I HATE HANUKKAH and would like to see it removed from the Jewish calendar. 1. Apparently the early rabbis hated this holiday too. According to Congregation Beth El Binah's Rabb.. [view original]

WHAT IS HANUKKAH? Hanukkah, a minor holiday on the Jewish calendar, commemorates a small army of Jews who liberated the Jerusalem Temple from Greek-Syrian occupiers and purified it in 165 B.C. Jews rose up against their oppressor, the Syrian King Ant.. [view original]

Yeah it's been pointed out before. I wouldn't sweat it. To be honest, not many questions could be asked about the Eids and questions about Ramadan are the only real traffic here. So it's suitable.

I noticed that the other day too- there should be one category for each Eid simply to be fair as other faiths have a category for each of their celebrations

oh well, we have managed : )

and the stats are accurate, based on many many varying sources: Islam is the second largest faith.

When its listed as 2 billion Christians that is not solely ''Christians'' it includes Protestants, Catholics, Pentecostal, Later day Saints, Anglican, Jehovah's witnesses, Quakers, AIC's, SDA's, AOG's and Eastern Orthodox.

    But yes it very weird...
