What do you have to do to go to heaven?

I ask you, are you a sinner? Have you ever lied, stolen, lusted, coveted, or been angry with someone unjustly? Have you ever offended God in any way? If so, then you have sinned. Your sin is against God because you have broken His law. Also, because He is infinite, your offense to Him is infinite. You are not capable of appeasing an infinite God because you are a sinner. Nothing you can do will undo the damage caused by your sins.
The Bible says that all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God (Rom. 3:23). That means that your sins have caused a separation between you and God (Isaiah 59:2) and the result is death (Rom. 6:23) and wrath (Eph. 2:3). The only way out, is to be saved by faith in Christ (Eph. 2:8-9; Rom. 5:1). You must trust in what Jesus did on the cross to forgive you of your sins and not trust anything else, not even your own sincerity or works.
Jesus is the one who died for the sins of the world (1 John 2:2). He is the only way to the God the Father (John 14;6). He alone reveals God (Matt. 11:27). He has all authority in heaven and earth (Matt. 28:18). It is only through Him that you can be saved from God's wrath (Eph. 2:3). He can forgive you of your sin (Luke 5:20; Matt. 9:2). He can remove the guilt that is upon your soul. Jesus can set you free from the bondage of sin that blinds your eyes, weakens your soul, and brings you to despair. He can do this because He bore sin in His body on the cross (1 Peter. 2:24) that those who trust in Him would be saved.
Jesus is the One you need.
If you are not a Christian, and want to be delivered from the consequence of your sin, which is damnation, then come to the One who loves you. Come to the One who died for sinners (Matt. 11:28). Turn from your sins. Believe in Jesus. Receive Jesus, who is God in flesh, who died and rose from the dead (1 Cor. 15:1-4) as your Lord and Savior (John 1:12). Ask Jesus to forgive you, to come into your heart, and to wash you clean from your sins. Pray to Jesus. Seek Him. Ask Him to save you.

One man came down from heaven to answer this question. His name is Jesus of Nazareth, and his teachings are recorded in the New Testament of the Bible.
Jesus taught you will not have an intimate friendship with God leading to eternal life UNLESS you are baptized (Mark 16:16; John 3:5), believe Christ and put faith in him (e.g., Luke 7:50, 8:12), renounce your own prerogatives (e.g., Matt 5:3, 10), repent to obtain forgiveness (Matt 3:2; 4:17; Luke 1:77, 24:47), obey God and do what is just and charitable (e.g., Matt 25; Luke 10:25-28; John 12:50), adopt the humility of a child (Matt 18:3-4; 19:14), eat the bread of life (John 6:51, 53-54), and endure to the end (Matt 10:22, 24:13; Mark 13:13, Luke 21:16-18).
Simple formulas privileging faith and omitting Jesus' other requirements will not get an applicant into heaven.
Cheers,
Bruce

Have a personal love relationship with Jesus Christ.
Doing good deeds and being "religious" won't help you. The relationship is what He's after. see Matt 7:21-23

Simply look at the actual cross upon which Christ was crucified for YOU! As you look think about this. You are on the earthly side of that cross and naturally born into Lucifer's Kingdom. Jesus said, "My Kingdom is not of this world!" Thus His eternal Kingdom is on the opposite side of the cross upon which He was crucified for you eternal salvation and well being. Because you and me are born naturally into one earthly Kingdom which is Lucifer's. WE must be born again of the Holy Spirit to enter the eternal and invisible Kingdom of Christ which is on the opposite side of the cross upon which He was crucified. Once you surrender your life to Jesus, the Holy Spirit will enter your heart and He will supernaturally lead you into the invisible Kingdom of Christ. When you speak of Heaven, you are referring to the Kingdom of Christ.

Believe and trust in what the Lord Jesus Christ did for you on the cross. He died for your sins, He was buried and took your sins away and He rose again the third day for your justification. Romans 4: 25 Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification. 1 Corinthians 15: 3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; 1 Corinthians 15: 4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
