What is the easiest way to crochet a striped scarf?
I am making a sriped scarf for my sistter's friend however I don't know how to do it
I mean i know tht i am just going to go back and forth but should i leve the color i am not using attached and just crochet it to the side when i finsh off or should i cut the color im not using off
Any other patterns that are really cool for kids would be cool too.

If your crocheting, figure how many rows the color up the side but you will have to go around the scarf to hide it. If you cut the yarn all you will have to do is secure the yarn you cut and weave it into the same color. When I do something like this I make sure the yarn has gone in two directions so it wont come loose

The absolutely easiest way to crochet a striped scarf is to use "self-striping" yarn. Many companies that sell sock yarn also sell self-striping yarn.
However, if you want to use 2 balls of (different colored) yarn, I would suggest cutting the yarn each time you switch colors. It's the same principle as joining another ball of yarn that's the same color. Instructions can be found here: http://learntocrochet.lionbrand.com/faq/124.html?l...

Here is a link for you. You can also try using self striping or variegated yarn. It changes colour for you.
