Do purity rings inspire people to get married younger?

Considering most people who wear purity rings have sex before marriage anyway, no, they don't.

My son is 14, if he gets married younger before he is 25 that is ok with me, he is mature and gets good grades and I know he will be a good provider. God gave us those feelings for a reason to tell you that you are ready to think about marriage, family and a home. Better to be married young than to think about college drinking parties and teens smoking weed in secret and having sex in a car not knowing what real love or purity is. They wont be missing out on anything.

Statistically religious people marry much younger which also accounts for their higher divorce rate.

I've not seen a study that ties it to rings or purity pledges. The only one I did see showed no difference in actual behavior compared with other conservative religious teens.

I know a couple exactly like this. They are unhappy and have two kids who are equally unhappy. They also cannot divorce because that too is against their religion.

I'm sure it does. the whole no sex before marriage thing causes people to force into marriage because they are ready to have sex and dont wannna wait any longer. And they are one of the main ones to get a divorce. thats why i think you should have sex with a person you are committed to. you both should be committed to eachother. after years of knowing eachother well, get married. Being in a committed relationship with your boyfriend/girlfriend is no different from being a a committed relationship with your husband/wife. they can both be committed and stay together forever.
