THE great Gatsby question...?
I am writing an essay on "The Great Gatsby" and the topic that have to write about is to compare and contrast Jay Gatsby and Daisy Buchanan. So far i have that they valued the time that they spent together, and they both thought they could repeat the past. and for difference i have that they came up form different social classes, but i cant think of anything else. Please lemme know if you can think of any difference or similarities between the two
It does have to how they feel, not things such as they dislike tom.

Could you elaborate a little on the details of the comparison between Gatsby and Daisy, such as, is the comparison general (both are rich, like each other, dis-like Tom), or is it necessary for the comparison to be more defined (how either character feels/thinks in regards to the effects of wealth on the individual or in regards to nostalgia/revered past experiences contrasted against present social confinements). In either case, it is important to note that Gatsby possesses an "inauthentic" wealth, whereas Daisy represents "authentic" wealth (of finances, not personal character, of course.)

Jay is true to his ideals and loves Daisy purely. He will do anything for her.
She is unworthy. She loves (maybe) but basically just wants a simple life. She only shows one bit of insight in the whole novel when she hopes her daughter will be dumb.
