Pacman fails Olympic-style drug test?
If you refuse Olympic-style drug test, it is LEGALLY considered failing the test. This happened to Rio Ferdinand of Manchester United. Pacman has legally failed the drug test for refusing to undergo the Olympic-style drug test, whose procedure involves blood and urine testing within 30 days of an event.

These drug tests are just mind games and Pacquiao and his people are not taking the bait.
The problem with this is that the Mayweathers would look for anything REMOTELY similar to steroid and any performance enhancing drug in Pacquiao's drug test during training camp and would hype it up as evidence of Pacquiao cheating. Are you seriously telling me that its against the law for a prizefighter to drink Red Bull while in training camp?
As for Pacquiao, what kind of an alibi is "superstitious about taking blood tests"?

Uhhm mind you, there is really no Olympic-style drug test requirement in professional boxing. All these are "requests" from the Mayweather camp and is being arranged in the contract, and I believe no one signed an official contract yet. If you were asked to be taken blood samples out of nowhere and you refused, would it be right if I say you failed? Common sense.
These are all tactics from the Mayweather camp. I don't even understand how people can support their ideas based on nothing. When a previous drug dealer and drug addict in Floyd Sr said that Manny is on steroids out of nowhere without proof, some Floyd followers actually believed it. And now just because the Mayweather camp is unreasonable asking for strict drug testing that affects the nutritioning and mental state of fighers, these same people believe that the Pacquiao camp should agree to it.
Just so you know, the Pacquiao camp has agreed to almost everything in the Mayweather camp's drug testing "request", aside from the blood test which affects the nutritioning and mental state of fighters and only Roach disagrees to that as of now.

Erbito Salavarria was disqualified and lost his world flyweight crown in the early 70s because water in his liquid bottle during his fight versus Betulio Gonzales was discovered to have been laced with sugar. Boxing authorities claimed that sugar in water could enhanced a boxer's performance especially during a fight. Given this simple precedent from the past, I am all for an Olympic-style testing for all important bouts. We can never tell for sure. Doping not only in boxing but other sports as well have been around and there have been positive results in some cases, especially the celebrated ones. With the kind of money that Manny P now has, who knows? And there is a possibility that Manny P knows not that he is taking some drugs that may be intended to improve his looks for his show business career but may contain performance-enhancing substances that are banned for sports. It is not usual for pro boxing but can alaways be a precedent. and a welcome one to erase all doubts.

Yes, you cannot blame Floyd Sr. because you both have malicious mind. Floyd Sr. is all mouth by claiming all those malicious accusations without presenting evidence. The Nevada State Athletic Commission, the body who is authorize to conduct test including random drug testing slams Floyd Sr.'s mouth by declaring Pacman free from any performance-enhancing drugs TEN TIMES before and after the fight. Are you now questioning the integrity of NSAC? If you have some insinuations that NSAC can be manipulated by major promoters for example Top Rank, Golden Boy, etc., just present evidences that NSAC can really be manipulated not just by pure insinuations. Olympic-style drug test? It is just Mayweather's caprices because they are so afraid of Pacman. But nevertheless, Pacman's camp agreed on the condition that Mayweather will undergo the same. For your information, Pacman is not afraid of anything. There is no confirmation that Pacman is refusing Olympic-style drug test. It is Freddie Roach who raise concern about blood testing. If my memory tells me right, it is already happen to Pacman on his first fight with Morales. Prior to the fight night, they took blood from Manny allegedly for blood testing without the knowledge of Freddie. I don't know the exact amout have taken to Manny but one thing is sure that there's an ill effect of taking blood before the fight. That is why Freddie Roach raise concern about blood testing.

How did he fail a drug test, according to your definition, if there is no scheduled event within the next 30 days?

For the biggest match in boxing history financially hed better agree to olympic style drug testing.Refusing isn't failing because the match isn't made yet contractually, but he will upset many fans and will turn some away from boxing for a long time.

It's sad to admit-- but I would have to agree. If you don't take the test you fail (it's the same as in classroom exams-- zero score for not taking them).
If Pacquiao wants to be recognized as a world-class athlete he has to step up-- here, I agree with the Mayweathers.
... although they are not fighting in the olympics... boxers are only required procedures based on what the governing commission asks for. pacquiao never did join the olympics he has no prior experience of such tests.
but... i still say, he should take the olympic-style drug test and learn how to suppress his superstition if he wants to be recognized as a world-class athlete.
edit:
-- we all know it's not yet 30 days before the fight-- but wait-- you do have a point here-- he does not fail legally if he is not required to do so-- we'll only know after the contract is signed.
yeah-- but still, i would like to see pacquiao get over his superstitious nonsense (IF this is true- we don't know) and take this annoying test.

Drug tests are irritating. I don't blame this Pacman character for not wanting to take one.

what's manny afraid of? and his skull sure seems a lot bigger. frankly, i don't blame mayweather. i'm sure floyd is "clean", but seeing this tiny guy just get bigger and bigger and steamroll tough welterweights?? i'm starting to have my suspicions.
