2007 Dodge Ram Check Engine Light?

I have a 2007 Dodge Ram 1500 Big Horn. I put gas in it on Thursday, $30 of the Shell V-Power which is about 15 gallons.I drove it on Friday, and after driving it so far, (say 60 miles) the Check Engine Light came on, and when off about 10 miles later. Well, I stopped again, and out gas in the truck again.Filled it up, $62.50 (the light wasnt even on in it), drove it back home 3 miles up the road, and half way home, the Check Engine Light came on, and stayed on. I have an appointment tomorrow at the dealership, but was just wondering what it could be.

By the Way, The Shell V-Power is the only type of gas that I have ever put in this vehicle. It has 30,00 miles on it. TIA!

Are you leaving the engine running when you gas up? This will cause a trouble code. Also if you don't get the cap on tight that will cause a code.

Chances are since you just put gas in it ,the cap was left loose and triggered a evap leak (Tank Side) code.It should go off after a number of drive cycles as long as the cap is tight.Shouldnt have any other problems considering its still low mileage.
