Discuss parallel and series circuit. Discuss the advantages and disadvantages of AC and DC current.

    Parallel circuits are what you have in your house. There is no voltage drop from one device to another. All your appliances receive the same voltage.... good thing. Series circuits could use less wire because one wire not two are run to a device. AC is easier to generate (cars now have alternators, not generators) than DC. Also AC can be generated at very high voltages, using less gage wire, then the voltage is easily changed by a transformer before being fed to a house. This also leads to less power loss when transmitting electricity over long distances. Otherwise if everything was DC, you'd need a power station in every neighborhood. I mean like this is the very short version
