What is your favorite holiday television special? Which is your least favorite?
My favorite has always been Santa and the Three Bears but they don't show it anymore. My least favorite is that Rudolph one with the island of misfit toys - so creepy.
Anyway, your choices?
BQ to make it more religious - Does your favorite holiday special have a spiritual component?

Both my favourite and least favourite is The Nightmare Before Christmas.
Its my favourite because it has the unique talents of Tim Burton written all over it, his style is amazing, he's able to specifically focus on a point, still making the movie enjoyable, but not a typical hollywood flashfest.
Its my least favourite also because its ridiculously scary, I mean, horror movies are less scarier.

I'm a child of the 1960's from Canada when there were only three major American channels that I could watch besides the CBC..
This is going to sound so corny, but I loved the old Andy Williams Christmas specials..
The music, the costumes, the dancing the whole production numbers with Andy WIlliams his then wife the lovely Claudine Longet and their kids..
But the Bing Crosby special of 1976 with his duet with David Bowie is a classic..

A Christmas Story (the 24 hour marathon)!! And I love Comedy Central's line of holiday shows personally, and Cartoon Networks too, just because of they're new Flapjack Christmas episodes and the ones from when I was a kid like Ed, Edd, and Eddy. And me and my sister love Elf.
Least favorite: I gotta say Disney's holiday line ups are corny and lame, they should only be aloud to be corny and lame if they're classics. I especially dislike the Santa Clause movies. Waaaay lame. And there's like 3 of them.

Frosty the Snowman and Charlie Brown Christmas are my favorites.
Least favorite: Santa Claus is Coming to Town and all those other crappy cartoon/stop animation shows.

Mah favorite? Grinch (but when I was a kid I would have said Ren and Stimpy) Oh and I love the south park christmas special with Mr. Hanky, that will be the "classic" of our generation.
least favorite? I dunno it's hard to dislike a christmas special. Anything on MTV for sure, or anything that claims to be "Christmasy" and then isn't "Christmasy" at all.
Not a big fan of Charlie Brown but it's def not my least favorite

(((Gor-Jess))), I feel your pain!!
My favorites are still the OLD version of "How The Grinch Stole Christmas", and "A Charlie Brown Christmas".
That's what was ON when I was a kid.
Wait about 10-15 years. See how you feel about your childhood favorites THEN. You may not be quite as dismissive.
