Can i get a by wearing FLATS!!?!?!?!?!? What are your thoughts/opinions?!??!?!?

Question

i love wearing flats. they are my favorite type of shoes. i love wearing them all the time, but my mom hates when i wear them in the winter. she seems to think that i am going to catch a cold or pneumonia because my feet are "overly exposed". but only a small portion of my feet are showing and they arent cold. she wants me to wear socks when i wear flats and i think that wearing socks and flats is tacky. i feel its the equivalent to wearing flip flops and socks. do you girls wear flats in the winter?? 

i have never personally heard of anyone catching a cold because they have worn flats. what are your ideas on the situation??


sidenote: if you are wondering about the weather where i live, the lowest its been all winter has been 44degrees. just yesterday it was 55degrees. (thats not cold in my opinion)

i wear them sometimes. i don't think you can get sick either. well its you thats wearing it and not your mom. if she is cold she can wear whatever she wants to make her warm. if you don't think its cold, go for it. if it was really cold to you, you would probably wear something else. maybe you can wear leg warmers, i think they would look so cute with them and skinny jeans :)

If you live where the coldest is gets is 44, I would say wear flats all the time.  You are so lucky.  I love wearing flats to but I live where it snows and gets well below freezing.  That said I do see lots of girls wearing flats in snowy cold weather.  I really don't think you can catch a cold from wearing flats.  

Good call on NOT wearing socks with your flats, that is tacky.

If they're plain black flats, there's nothing wrong with wearing them with socks! Just make sure they are thin and fit in with the shoe nicely. Instead of stark "Hanes" white, try buying socks wish lace detail or a off-yellow tone. Very fashionable. You could also wear patterned/coloured tights.

I'd say you're fine. I'm always wearing flats also..I haven't worn socks (other than with boots or inside my house) in years and I haven't gotten sick. So it's okay :)

i wear flats, flip flops, etc year round, it doesnt matter
you could get footsie socks like this if it really bothers her

//////////what the heck?!?! i wear flats all the time, if ur mom wears high heels or pumps, tell her Hey wtf thats like me wearing flats minus the heels. flats is an all year thing. trustt me, dont wear them in snow or rain. they arent all terrain shoes hun <3
