Was God trying to tell me something? Or mere coincidence?

I have going through a terrible financial time since a job layoff. Just terrible. So, I was driving the other day, made a U-turn, and a sign right in front of me read: "STAY POSITIVE." Was that God trying to tell me something or a mere coincidence?

Then I was walking the other day, actually questioning if God exists and, if so, why he's not helping me because it is a really bad time for me right now. And just then, I walked by a sign that read: "CHURCH."

What do you think?

Coincidence. Obviously. Such gullibility is the reason religion was invented, in addition to needing and explanation for the stars and rain cycles. However, we now understand the latter, yet I'm not sure I will ever understand the former.

thats the only way god does "talk" to you, its all just mere coincidences that people decide it must be an intervention of god. but thats just self centered to feed their ego of believing they will live forever....you sound like you might be a little agnostic. i was for a couple years before i realized there was most certainly no god...watch national geographic and you'll learn that the science of the world and its beginning are completely contradicted by anything the bible says, i.e. man created same day with all animals, impossible bcuz fossils show separate periods of different animals that did not coexist with each other, especially man, who was learned to be on the earthly scene just about 20,000 years or so ago.

wow....that's an awesome experience! the lord wants you to find your own way to him, however; he can point you in the right direction.....now comes the hard part for most people finding the right and true-church.....keep in mind that ALL churches have SOME truth to them, but only 1 church has the full truth for this dispensation of time.

Those ARE signs that the lord knows you exist, and that is a perfect example of a way that the lord can answer prayers. Ignore it if you will but that is a special sign

i believe it was a sign have faith when life seems tough and you just cant take it you have to stay positive. times may seem tough now but things may get better or worse but you should make the best of it try going into the church and see for your self how up lifting the church and the people the can make you feel. when I lived at home my only get away was the church up the road from me. God Bless

    God comes in many forms.

My friend was on a road trip with her family and they stopped at a gas station. A truck driver told them not to go on the highway because it was really foggy. They moved along and when they turned around a couple seconds later the man and his truck were gone and they ddn't hear the sound of a truck starting up.

Sure enough, the highway was foggy.

There is no way that is a coincidence. Signs that say church are so rare, it has to be God talking to you. Where did you even see such a thing?

    Clearly a sign

i think you should believe what you wish to believe and that if you believe that God trying to tell you something that you should believe he is instead of questioning it
