Can you help me with my new foundation primer?

I have very sensitive skin (breakout when anything new touches it), and the Smashbox primer did wonders for my face. It's silicone and oil free. It makes my liquid foundation look smoother, especially around those little lines near the eyes and mouth. Just let it sit a couple minutes before you put on your foundation, giving it time to "set", and you may have better luck. I also put Dove daily moisture lotion on, then smashbox primer, then foundation. Not sure if you are moisturizing first or not. It also says to put on freshly cleaned or moisturized face, so don't try and touch up during the day.

I had the same issue! also, with long term use it caused my face to break out where it normally doesnt so I was not happy! you can return to Sephora and I would recommend doing so and trying samples of others. From what I can tell, primer doesnt help much unless you have really problem skin or your makeup comes off super quick during the day. I have a friend who deals with bad breakouts and so she always has dry flakey spots on her face so she thinks this primer is a miracle b/c its so smoothing. But its basically just trial and error, I would suggest getting many samples of others, or you may decided you dont need it. rule of thumb is- less is more!

I had the same problem with this primer :-( I was heartbroken because I really wanted this to work ( not to mention it's sooo expensive ) If you can return it and try another brand. I returned mine to Sephora where I bought it and instead of buying another one I asked for a few samples to try before I made my choice. I now use CoverFX Skin Prep.
