can your employer moved the pay date because paydate is a holiday?

my pay check date is Dec 25 (Xmas) the office will be closed.

so my employer decides not give our checks until Monday Dec 28. should we get our checks Dec 24.is this legal? how can i put a complain? (we have no HR)

    It's completely OK for an employer to delay a payday to the next business day when there is a bank holiday on the regular payday.

    Yes, it is legal. My pay date is the 25th as well but my company pays strictly by direct deposit and the date was moved to the 24th. Ask nicely if you can have your check on the 24th instead...

    Normally they move it up a day but it is up to your employer. Probably you should not complain and just be happy to have a job and a pay check.
