Why is it when GSP does it he's the best, but when Brock Lesnar does it he sucks?

So Brock Lesnar (as inexperienced a MMA fighter as he is) manages to take down his far superior opponents and brutally finish them on the ground...but yet whenever i go on youtube and read the comments everyone is bashing him saying that he sucks and all he can do is take down his opponents and ground and pound them and he has no skill...but yet GSP in his last 4 fights doesn't do ANYTHING but take down his opponents and ground and pound his way to a decision (yeah i know he stopped BJ in the 4th round but was too small to be tryin to get in there with GSP) and he's considered the P4P best fighter in the world...my question is what is the difference between what GSP does and what Brock Lesnar does? And why is GSP considered so great yet when i get on UFC Undisputed 2009 and play guys online and pick GSP and just continue to do takedowns the entire match they always send me little messages talking about how much of a P**** I am and other derogatory comments...do you think some of the guys that GSP fights in real life feel this way as well?

Update:

To Anthony....its not always about who "deserves" the title shot...but who the best guy is and who has the best chance...you say Brock didn't deserve a title shot after being 2-1...well if i'm not mistaken wasn't Shogun's record in the UFC 2-1 (loss to Forrest Griffin and wins over Mark Coleman and Chuck Liddell) and we see how close the Machida-Rua fight was...I don't know about you but i'm payin to watch the best fighters go at it not which guy deserves to fight for the belt...even IF i'm only payin 5 bucks to go to a sports bar ;^)

In my opinion it's a matter of class. GSP is far more humble than Lesnar and so I can tolerate him. If he ran his mouth like Lesnar I'd think just as little of him regardless of talent.

A few reasons for this in my opinion.

    1. Brock had a title shot given to him after being 2-1. That's unbelievable. He didn't do anything to earn a title shot so a lot of people are bitter about him.

    2. GSP has a lot of fights under his belt and has proven he can do things other than take an opponent down and ground and pound. He works in the guard to improve position, defends submissions etc. Brock laid on Mir and side control and smashed him with shots.

    3. Lesnar didn't earn any fans with his WWE style rant after the Mir fight. MMA isn't the WWE and that's how Lesnar treated it. Lots of people didn't like that, including Dana White (although mostly for him bashing a big sponsor of the event).

Those are my thoughts and I'll say that I'm not a Lesnar fan. Mostly for reason number 1.

Simply the answer is because GSP doesn't just ground and pound people, sure maybe the last few fights, but that was just his game plan for those specific fighters because that is how he can win against them, where as Lesnar only does do that, watch any of his fights and that is his game plan no matter what, and it was absolutely stupid of him to get a title shot as early as he did, I think we all know that Frank Mir deserved that title shot far more than Lesnar, and also the reason is Lesnar uses his huge size much to his advantage. If Lesnar wasn't as big as he was he would get dominated in UFC. He would not have a single win under his belt if he wasn't as big as he is. GSP is considerably big in his weight class, but Lesnar might as well have his own weight class.

    i agree

i feel GSP and Brock are often the same

    however

    1..Brock has no stand up

    2..brock cant kick

    3..brock has no hands

4..a good boxer would rape brock in a stand up battle

same with a good muay thai fighter or kickboxer or anyone from k1

5..brock dosent have a good ground game when it comes to grappling

6..he was given a title shot after only 3 MMA fights

also GSP is way more expolosive

    i Dont mind Brock

i just hate when idiot fans

and people who often never fight or train which is were majority of his fans come from

    belive he can beat fedor

    or shane carwin

    or big nog

    or velaquez easy

    or cro cop- in prime

i admire GSP and that i greater suited comprehend something approximately MMA on account that i'm an authorized professional choose in MMA. i do no longer think of you may say that truthfully everyone that likes a undeniable fighter or would not is conscious no longer something approximately MMA. There are followers of various ranges in MMA merely like in different activities i think of. supply up annoying approximately those that do no longer comprehend particularly lots or maybe are overly opinionated and jerks as no quantity of tremendous judgment and arguing with them will often exchange them and what they think of. you merely would desire to learn how to filter out them out and what they are asserting or i'm afraid you're in for loads of frustration and unhappiness on your section then.

Its hard to deny his physical prowess. He just does not have the charisma that GSP does. The WWE crap has got to go if he wants loyal fans who do not sport mullets and NASCAR.
