If I buy a bag of the steam-in-the-bag frozen veggies with sauce, can i cook it on the stovetop instead?
I bought three bags of frozen veggies with butter sace that I was going to serve for company, thining I was just going to steam it on the stovetop. I didn't take into account that it has frozen butter chips (or whatever it is) and that will be diluted if I did it on the stovetop. I don't want to do it in to microwave because 1) thats tacky for company to see, and 2) I have 3 bags and by the time the third bag would be steamed, the first bag will be cold. What should I do?

sure you can just use a lower medium heat
use a bigger pan cook together all 3 bags
look on bag and see if it has stove top instructions

The tackiness wont matter, just do it. Also if you dont want the to get cold, then once they are cooked transfer them to the stovetop on low heat to keep them warm.

defrost, cook on low on stove top, taste. you may have to add a bit more butter.
why not put it in a nice baking pan, top with some butter and a pinch of bread crumbs on top, or maybe cheese sauce or shredded cheese and bake till cheese is done?

You could probably bake them in a casserole dish, making sure to stir once or twice. 350 for about 45 minutes, less if you thaw them first.
