Why are christians stupid?

The only thing I do not get is that if you don't believe in god why waste your Precious life time bothering people that do believe?

Com-on after this life you will be nothing but a decomposing body so why not enjoy life and quit wining about the people that have faith...

Also why only bother christians?

Aren't their other religions that believe in god and that seem way more fanatic than christians?

Why do most Christians call atheist stupid? See, we can play these games all day long... I don't think someone is stupid for believing in a god (Christian or otherwise). Like you, I have known many highly intelligent theists. I just think they are wrong on this one issue. Be more concerned about what you are saying instead of worrying what "most" people say to others. PS- Plenty of stupid people on both sides as well. Belief or lack thereof is not an indicator of intelligence.

I don't think all Christians are stupid. However, I can say based on the comments of some, that some certainly are stupid.

Also after seeing some of the comments on here - atheism is not the "belief in nothing", nor is it the hatred of gods. Don't confuse atheism with nihilism or maltheism.

Well let me ask you this...

As a Pagan, why do Christians assume we are evil or nasty for believing in our Gods? You cannot sit there as if your own kind are on a pedastal where they are made a laughing stock for an audience to throw rotten vegetables at, when Christians are just as bad as Atheists.

So, we believe there are multiple deities, or some believe in nature as a mystical force. Yet, you find it perfectly acceptable to throw accusations at us...

So why shouldn't atheists have the right to do likewise to you?

And before you say it, I understand that Pagans are every bit as bad as any other 'faction'. At the end of the day, if religions were meant to co-exist peacefully without arguments, it would be one boring place... I mean, sure, less wars... At least until they find other causes. But you lose out of key things that make religion interesting. Such as debating or theorising.

first of all stupidity does not equate Belief

2nd of all if you compare christian children who are home taught vs public school merits the public schools show a dramatic decrease in aptitudes on tests and knowledge alone

3rd there is a war on for the minds of all people in the world. drugs and Gma foods and water and air are all poisons that dumb down every person, not just christians.

i have literally walked into an exam room knowing my stuff only to be poisoned as i entered and could not concentrated. i left called the professor and managed to come back later after several hours and then get a 100% on the test only because environment had changed and the poisons/toxins/drugs affecting my mind earlier had worn off.

so stupidity is not because of religion neither is IQ. it is a proven fact however that drugs like prosac, and flouride and mercury or aluminates, do cause Lower iq's.

Who say's that? Don't put all people in the same basket, and Atheists don;t know whether there is a god or not, they don't say there isn't they say they don't know. Get it right. Atheists leave the argument open, Christians don't they just accept that there is without proof. Maybe that's why you think people call Christians stupid, cos really when you think about how can you truly believe in something without proof? as for Faith, Atheists have Faith, they would love it to be true they just want proof first, why waste energy on something that might be false>?

Firstly, most people think someone is stupid for not believing what they do, and in my opinion, THAT'S stupid.

And secondly, although i think believing in God is wonderful since it fills you with a sense of security and love, yeah, atheists CAN prove there is no god, with the simple fact of evolution and that almost everything in the bible has been proved to be false through science. Besides, you can't stereotype that all atheists feel this way. And isn't faith based on what and how you feel and how that makes you believe something?

We call them stupid because they constantly force their opinions upon us and tell us we are going to hell.

There is evidence that god did not create the earth (evolution) but no evidence that he did, the bible is not evidence as it is a book written LONG after this was supposed to happen, its about as much evidence as harry potter books is that hogwarts exists.

Christians are stupid because they are so ready to do what they are told to please someone else, i think they need to grow a backbone and enjoy life while they have it and not live in fear of something that doesnt exist, and if i die and it turns out god does exist, i am not going to beg for forgiveness, im going to ask him where the hell he was my whole life and why his followers were some of the most unkind, un-accepting and ignorant people in my life.

Christians and muslims have caused me more misery than anything, and the same goes for a lot of people.

No one has called me stupid yet so I do not know where you think atheists call Christians stupid or vice versa. We are all living in the beautiful world together and some of us have different beliefs at this time on our own spiritual paths, that is all. This does not mean one is smarter than the other, just one has been graced by God's gift, the Holy Spirit and has a divine mind to understand God and the Bible where the other does not. CHRISTIANS ARE NOT STUPID. atheist only think that cuz they think we dnt have proof. but we dnt need proof. we have what you call FAITH. i have an atheist friend who asked whats the point of being a christian if there is no god. i said well i have faith that ther is a god. probably not the best answer but yea. they do share a base of faith. and we christians shouldnt need ANY proof

No, Christians lack common sense; they believe in a supreme God which we do not have any proof of, as well as a man who died and resurrected, walked on water, ascended into the sky in his bodily form, turned wine into water...

As for the proving it wrong part: If I told you I had a dragon in my garage, but when you came here to see it, you saw nothing (and I gave you thousands of reasons why you cannot see that dragon, so you cannot actually PROVE it isn't there), wouldn't we be coming to the same conclusion? You can't prove I'm wrong, but I can't prove I'm right either?

What if I told you I there was an invisible coffee maker which existed in the 1800's which ascended into the sky with invisibility? Would you be able to successfully counter that claim too? No. You can't.

So we go into the sector of common sense.

Do invisible dragons exist? No, they don't. We have absolutely no plausible proof of their existence.

Did an invisible coffee maker ascend into the sky in the 1800's? No, coffee makers did not exist back then, especially not invisible ones. They most certainly do not fly without mechanical assistance either.

Can an invisible supreme being control our every movement, and send a man who can do magical things such as walk on water and turn water into wine? No, that would defy the laws of physics, and is just plain childish to believe.
