Stalkerish or flattering?

Suppose I was at a party and saw a cute guy but I never met a person officially met him. Although I know his brother. I asked around what his name was and then I found him on facebook. I want to add him but I don't know if he'll think I'm a stalker or something. Is that stalkerish or would you consider it flattering?

    No, I dont think this is stalking. Let him know that you saw him at a party, asked about him and found him on facebook and if it's ok if you talk thru facebook---if he does not act interested---back out and dont contact him again.

    You know his brother right?if you don't want it to seem as if your stalking him (which is highly unlikely) just add his brother an facebook then send a friend request to him, does that sound good?

    depends on the guy really..i have added people i barely knew on facebook and some people thought it was weird and other people thought i was really cool for doing that
