He should be ok. Jehovah only has the franchise for our solar system, despite his delusions of grandeur

I"ve heard so many different kinds of scenarios; the most intriguing that the earth will die in water and fire. As the atheist I am, I've come up with a scientific reason. If global warming progresses, temperatures will rise (fire) and ice will melt, causing the sea level to rise (water). I was watching Discovery on doomsday, and they had a different reason, all including the sun. Now, if you rochet your son off to another planet, he will a) die because none of the other planets can support life, or b) somehow miraculously survive the landing and get engulfed by the sun's crazy happenings. How on earth would you get a rocket?
My friend, on the other hand, insists that all humans will have a second chance when Christ returns to Earth. If Christ did return to Earth, I think this would be the most likely scenario. Why would such a loving god kill his creations like that? I certainly don't go around and smash my art projects into smithereens.

For a while.
Then they'll have a knock-down, drag-out fight where they both die, then four other people will suddenly show up claiming to be your son.
Then your son will come back to life for real, as will Doomsday; and they'll have a rematch and your son will strap him to an asteroid and hurl him out into deep space.
Or something like that...

I have a feeling that before mankind reaches the stars the second Coming of Christ will have occurred.
If humanity comes even close to the technology necessary to "avoid" judgement then God will intervene to prevent it as He did in the city of Babel.
Genesis 11:4-7 (King James Version)
4And they said, Go to, let us build us a city and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven; and let us make us a name, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth.
5And the LORD came down to see the city and the tower, which the children of men builded.
6And the LORD said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do.
7Go to, let us go down, and there confound their language, that they may not understand one another's speech.
There is no "escape" from God. He everywhere present and fillest all things!

this is a good question. I always wondered if there was a global disaster, would the people on the international space station survive?
