is your cell phone local to where he is calling you from? (do you have a georgia area code?)

with cell phones it does not matter where you are, it matters what your phone number is...

if you have a mississippi area code, and he is calling you from georgia on a land line phone, then yes he may have to pay long distance charges to call you... but he may have a certain amount of long distance minutes included on his phone plan, or he may have unlimited US/CAN calling... there is no way to know what his calling package is... but generally speaking, yes he would have to pay for long distance..

you can always make free calls from your PC to regular phones (using a mic and speakers or headphones) at http://callingamerica.com/

you can also make free 10 minute long distance calls by calling 1-800-980-PHAD or 5 minute call from 1-800-FREE-411 or you can sign up for a free account at http://ringplus.net/ and make free long distance calls thru your account there (similar to calling with a calling card, dial an access number and pin) all of these methods would also allow you to call him with out his number appearing on your bill...

You should call him...if he uses a land line it'll be a toll call.
