Can my goldfish go in my saltwater tank?

I got a goldfish for my friend and im keeping it for a few days before i give it to them. But when i got home it started acting funny. Just laying on the bottom of the tank i put it in. Last night it was alittle better most the time swimming in circles and was like this earlier today. But now hes just laying at the bottom. I figured that if i put him in the salt water tank i have with my other fish then he might get alittle perkier. But i wasent sure if the salt water would hurt him.

Update:

I have it in a 2g tank by itself it has a filter and the water is fine. I dont know what its problem is and ok i wont put it in the bigger salt water tank

don't put your gold fish in salt water

What are you keeping him in a bowl or tank

    is there a filter

    is it cycled

its possible his living conditions are causing this

No. Goldfish are strictly freshwater fish. You'll "finish Him off"- by putting him in a saltwater tank. Sorry. :(

NOOOOO!!!! It will die! If you can't put goldfish in regular tap water why would it be okay to put it in saltwater?
