do you read other answers before you answer a question or do you read them after if at all?

I usually read the other answers before I answer them, because I do not want to repeat an answer. Also if I think that someone's answer needs a boost, I may make my answer an addendum. On the other hand, if I think someone is grossly mistaken, I may take the time in my answer to address why I think that person is misguided.

It is very rare that I do not read them at all.

Only if the question is soliciting a funny answer and I want to see if anyone else steals my answer before I write it. Otherwise, I read everyone else's answers after I've given MY answer.
