MAJOR MAJOR hair problem?

I am totally desperate here, so please help me!!

It's 10.30pm on Christmas eve and I've just dyed my hair but it's gone wrong!

It's way too dark and instead of being dark brown, has turned out black. I hate it!!

I'm desperate for any way to try and fade or remove the colour by tomorrow please?

Any suggestions will be good, thankyou!!

By the way if you didn't figure, no shops are open!!

Get in the shower. Go. Now. Don't even turn off your computer. And scrub-a-dub-dub. =]

Back? Great. Still not out? You'll have to wait until Saturday, hun. I'm sorry. You may want to make an appointment A.S.A.P, if there's a stylist open tomorrow anywhere remotely near to you, then get it. Get it now. Just walk in there and speel your story to them. They'll listen, then tell them the color and cut you want. =] I wouldn't risk trying to fix this and screw it up more on your own.

Ouch, that's awful! You may need to run to the store to get some supplies for this.

    1. Wash your hair with Prell shampoo. Prell will gently remove hair color over numerous shampoos. This is not an immediate fix, but it does work well to tone down dye. For example, if you dyed your hair red and it is too wine-colored or too stop-light bright, Prell will tone it down to a more natural shade.

    2. Mix Dawn Concentrated Dish Detergent with your shampoo. Add 2 tbsp. to an average sized bottle of shampoo and use it daily or wash just-dyed hair with pure Dawn. Using Dawn will dry out hair, so use a good conditioner. Aussie 3 Minute Miracle is great for hair that has been processed and is dry or damaged.

    3. Use Color Fix. Products like Color Fix, Color Oops, and Haircolor Remover Kit can be purchased at most drugstores. Color Fix and Color Oops will remove hair dye, restoring hair to its natural color. Haircolor Remover Kit by L'Oreal will strip hair of all dye and prepare it for re-tinting so that you may dye it another shade. Read the packages carefully and choose which is best for you.

    4. Mix some hair bleach mixture with your regular shampoo in a dish. Scrub the mixture through your hair vigorously. Rinse and condition as usual. This may also be damaging to your hair, so again make sure to condition well.

If this doesn't work, put your hair up into a ponytail and try to draw attention away from your face and onto your outfit! Good luck!

    Merry Christmas,

There's no way at all to make it fade. I'm sure it doesn't look that bad anyways? I mean, if you wanted dark brown, that's pretty close to black.

If you REALLY REALLY cant live with it try washing it again.. and again.. and again but i doubt you'll see a difference.

I just suggest that you try out a few different hair styles to see if your happy with it in another style. Hope you have a good christmas. x

Is it permanent or semi? If it's permanent, nothing you do is going to fade it much. If it's semi you can wash it with dish soap, such as Dawn. The more you wash, the more it'll slowly fade. Dish soap can be harsh on the hair, so when you're done washing & washing, ring your hair out so it's just damp, apply conditioner, & leave on for 5 mins. Also, tomorrow morning when you do your hair, wash it & blow dry it. Blow drying raises the cuticle a little bit which makes the hair look a little lighter.

  • My friend had this happen to her and everyone called her emo for 2 months after that :]

You can't lighten your hair AT ALL unless you bleach it. But Bleaching black hair is really risky, and it will turn bright ORANGE with dark patches.

So unless you want halloween hair for Christmas, I'd stick with black.

Washing it right away will take the edge off the black-ness, but it won't be 'brown'

That happened to me! use dishsoap, it strips the colour out. Wash it twice in a row.

you can try washing it with a strong shampoo like prell or something like that or put a little bit of soap in it and scrub it out

    im sorry hun,

but your hair will fade in a week... not a day

dont do anything more to your hair because you'll end up damaging it
