Whats a good guitar amp/head/cabinet/etc... For death metal and black metal at the cheapest price?
Not only that, but guitars also, whats a good brand for death metal? My band is looking for a tone that would sound smiler to a lot of death metal bands, also black metal bands. And an amp with a good chugy sound. Whats the cheapest once they sell?

Well it depends what wattage you are looking at with the amp. Whether you are looking for a valve or tube amp, or a stack, how many speakers etc. But if you are looking for a crunch/metal sound, 100watts should be plenty, a Marshal or Randal will do very nicely for metal. You can pick up those anywhere from 600-1000 in AU$. As for guitars, Jackson, LTD, B.C Rich are all good metal guitars. They have the tone you are looking and the also have a mean look. You can grab one of these from any music store starting from around 800 AU$. But remember, those are all leading brands and the gear you buy will last a very long time, it's worth the investment.

I tend to lean more towards Death metal, although I have been getting into Black metal more lately. I think I just like the deeper guttural growls better as well as the style of musicianship used in Death metal as others have said. Also the variety of subgenres. MA: Too hard to name just one. BA: My favorite genre fluctuates between Death, Doom, and Thrash. @ John - You better hope nobody here finds out where you live, for by the time your body is found it would be so mangled, distorted and desecrated upon that not even the maggots will want you. If you want to redeem yourself at least have the decency to explain why extreme metal sucks and what genre you think is better. I guess that is kind of hard to do though, since extreme metal is the best genre out there and there is no reasoning you could give that would be true.
