Binge-eating disorder help?
About two years ago, I suffered from anorexia. I feel as if I've overcame it, but now another issue has risen. I get these uncontrollable urges to eat, and I'll just eat anything & everything. It's only when no one else is around. These urges occur usually two times a week, sometimes more. I feel as if I have to diet & exercise all of the time to compensate for this ridiculous, out of control eating. So now everyone thinks I'm anorexic again. I'm 17; 5'2", and about 102 pounds. I have no one to talk to about this, and I don't want to bring it up as an issue with my family, because we already went through a bad situation in tackling my anorexia. I really do not know what to do, and I just want this all to end. If you have any advice at all, it would be really appreciated!

Well you need to tell someone. Binge-eating IS a serious eating disorder, and you need help.

I've experienced binge eating after anorexia before. What helped me is to eat several small, healthy meals throughout the day. That way, you are not hungry enough to binge later. For me, my binge eating was probably encouraged by the fact that I was always fasting, and that made me so hungry that I would binge later, then the guilt would encourage me to fast, and the cycle would start over.
You can try to start in the beginning of the day by eating breakfast, then later in the day have a snack, and so on. It might help to have someone to talk with. Some days you might slip up and binge, but that doesn't mean that you have ruined everything you've worked for, just get up the next morning and try again. You can do it. :)

I've been through the same thing..well, not being full blown anorexic, but the binging part. It seems that it is out of my hands to stop my eating when im having one of the binge episodes, and I know what you mean with having to exercise to compensate for it. When you get the urge to eat, just stop and think for a minute, is it worth it? Think about the harm youre causing for your body by binging. Maybe drink a very large glass of water and that should usually make you feel grossly full.
Best of luck!
