Why do games run slow on my pc?
Why do The Sims 3 and 2 (and many other games) suddenly run so slow (more like a lag) on my pc (Desktop)?
my specs are:
Core 2 Quad 2.4 GHz
nVIDIA Geforce 9800 GT 1gb
4gb of RAM
Windows 7 64 bit
and i have 1tb of HDD
and all drivers are up to date
i'd really appreciate if you help me out

First I would most likely say that it could be background programs running while your on the game. All PCs have programs that run in the background that most people aren't aware of. I would suggest you pull up your task manager and exit out of any virus scanners or programs or Instant messaging Programs if that doesn't work i would suggest turning your graphics down that may cause it too.
then i would also ask if you turn your computer off regularly? PCs need off time to reset their ram so that could be an issue also. good luck and hope it helps.

All I can suggest is that you free up some disc space. Go to your Start Button > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools. Then used either or both Disc Cleanup and Disc Defragmentor.
