What's better for a 10 year old. Band Hero or Rock Band 2?

If your 10 year old is already fostering a love of music of different genres, it's hard to go past Rock Band. It has a massive wealth of downloadable content - already something over 1,000 extra songs.

It really depends on what kind of music she likes really.

If shes the way that I think she is, then she will probably like Band Hero more. Band Hero has songs that everyone knows such as YMCA, American Pie, Dirty Little Secret, 3 Taylor Swift Songs (shes even an in-game character), etc.

Rock Band 2 has bands like Metallica, Pearl Jam, System of a Down, etc.

However, Rock Band 2 has a TON of DLC (Downloadable content). There are around 800-ish songs in the Rock Band music store which you can buy to play in Rock Band 2. So if your willing to buy extra songs for Rock Band 2 then Rock Band 2 is definitely worth it

They'd hold her interest pretty much the same, but I think she'd find the Rock Band guitar easier to use. I got Guitar Hero and I completely couldnt use the guitar, there's somethign abotu the frets, but I played Rockband at a friends house and I just find it so much easier to use.
